The appartement at 40 rue de l’anguille

Welcome to 40 rue de l’anguille. I am happy to present you my little cocoon, the one which marks the beginning of Maisons Clotilde adventure.

A 45m² apartment, on the 2nd and top floor of a XIXth century building. With an east/west orientation and crossing light, the temperature is cool in summer and comfortable in winter. The ideal place for a solo, a romantic or a teleworking stay.

Entirely renovated with ancient materials and one-of-a-kind pieces collected at antique fairs, its decoration reflects my personality. My wish was to highlight the huge crossing wood beam by integrating it through a glass partition and to create an atmosphere of color that is both soft and warm : color fully finds its place within the patinated furniture, the household linen and the interior decoration . I chose limewash for the walls and ceilings, a material with a velvet touch, and smooth waxed concrete on the floor, to match the walls.

The apartment is located in the very heart of the old town, come and discover it at the end of a peculiar street, the name of which you will understand as you walk through it. Just a few stepsaway,   all types of shops : bakeries, restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, caterers, markets, without forgetting the antique stores and design shops.

Sunset awaits you in the bedroom, a starting point for beautiful excursions through this picturesque city and this beautiful region.
